Kintsugi SDGs piercings and earrings are upcycled pottery by Yoshiko Koike, who is made in Habikino City, Osaka Prefecture.

We reuse pottery that is no longer used and remake it into accessories by applying Kintsugi.

I made it with the image of creating new possibilities by reborn as a modern accessory that will lead to the future and make you feel close to nature and long-lasting Japanese traditions.

Koike Yoshiko's pottery is made from Shigaraki pottery clay because it is purchased from Shigaraki.

Freshwater pearls, natural stone turquoise, and light and gentle turquoise Shigaraki pottery clay pieces are combined with large retro-pop colorful circular acrylic resin parts and designed with kintsugi.

The side of the pottery piece is also kintsugi, so the gold shines even when viewed from the side, giving it a classy look.

These earrings have a fairly voluminous feel, so they brighten up your face and give a retro-modern impression.

If you match it with a plain dress, it will give you a resort feeling and make you look fashionable at once, and I think it will be cute with denim.

* “Kintsugi” is a traditional Japanese technique of repairing cracked or chipped ceramics using lacquer and gold powder. This work is created using the modern version of the simple kintsugi technique, so unlike genuine lacquer made from the sap of lacquer trees, epoxy adhesive is used for bonding.
The kintsugi part uses new lacquer and gold powder (brass powder) that are resistant to rashes, and UV resin is also used for reinforcement.

* Although we have created it as carefully as possible, depending on the product, there may be areas where the adhesive or UV resin protrudes, and where the lacquer is mottled. In order to maintain the strength, it is left as it is, and sometimes the lacquer and brass powder are not evenly mixed. I would appreciate it if you could buy it after understanding that it is a handmade work. If you are concerned about the details, please refrain from purchasing.

*Because it is also exhibited at various events and other online shops, it may sell out at the same time and be out of stock.
