SDGs Dangle Earrings made of upcycled pottery by Tosho Fukuoka using Kintsugi.
This jewelry is created by upcycling ceramics crafted by Tosho Fukuoka, a ceramic artist based in Kumamoto Prefecture. We reuse cracked, chipped, or no longer used pottery, restoring and redesigning them into unique accessories using the Kintsugi technique.
The concept of this work is to allow people to feel close to nature and long-standing Japanese traditions, giving new life and possibilities to pieces by transforming them into modern accessories that connect to the future.
These deep green ceramic shards are paired with bold gold accents. They sway beautifully as you walk, creating a very elegant impression.
Kintsugi is applied to the sides of the shards, so the gold shines from every angle, adding to the sophistication.
Perfect as a statement piece for both casual and elegant outfits.
Size: Shard 14 x 17 mm / Total length 55 mm
Fitting: Surgical stainless steel earrings (Fittings cannot be changed)
Weight: Although made of ceramic, they are lightweight and comfortable to wear.
As this is a unique, one-of-a-kind accessory, it is perfect for a gift.
Please consider it as a present for your loved ones.
*Since this is a finished one-of-a-kind product, we cannot accept changes to the fittings or requests for resale.
*We will ship the item shown in the photos. However, if it has already been sold on another site, it may be made to order. In that case, please note that there will be individual differences in the color and pattern of the ceramic shards.
*"Kintsugi" is a traditional Japanese repair technique that connects cracked or chipped ceramics using lacquer and gold powder. This work is created using a modern "simplified Kintsugi" technique. Unlike traditional Kintsugi made with raw tree sap (Hon-urushi), the bonding itself uses adhesive. The Kintsugi parts are made using lacquer (modern paint) and gold powder (brass powder, pearl powder), and UV resin is used for reinforcement.
