This is a Kintsugi SDGs jewelry piece made by upcycling Arita ware.We reuse ceramics that are cracked, chipped, or no longer used, and restore them into accessories by applying Kintsugi.

The concept of the work is to allow people to feel nature and long-standing Japanese traditions close to them, and to give them new possibilities by transforming them into modern accessories that connect to the future.

This is a sophisticated ceramic shard featuring a glimpse of a gold leaf pattern and pink floral pattern.

This work is created using a modern "simplified Kintsugi" technique. Unlike traditional Kintsugi made with raw tree sap (Hon-urushi), the bonding itself uses adhesive.The Kintsugi parts use lacquer (modern paint made by a manufacturer, not raw lacquer) and gold powder (brass powder, pearl powder), and UV resin is also used for reinforcement.
