This is Kintsugi SDGs jewelry made by upcycling Arita ware.We reuse ceramics that are cracked, chipped, or no longer used, and restore them into accessories by applying Kintsugi.

The concept of the work is to allow people to feel nature and long-standing Japanese traditions close to them, and to give them new possibilities by transforming them into modern accessories that connect to the future.

These elegant ceramic shards feature glimpses of gold, green, and red leaf and floral patterns.

Kintsugi is applied to the sides of the ceramic shards, so the gold stands out even from the side, enhancing its sophisticated appearance.

*"Kintsugi" is a unique Japanese traditional repair method that joins cracked or chipped ceramics using lacquer and gold powder. This work is created using a modern "simplified Kintsugi" technique. Unlike traditional Kintsugi made with raw tree sap (Hon-urushi), the bonding itself uses adhesive.The Kintsugi parts use lacquer (modern paint made by a manufacturer, not raw lacquer) and gold powder (brass powder, pearl powder), and UV resin is also used for reinforcement.
