SDGs Earrings made of upcycled Kyo ware/Kiyomizu ware (Fukuiku-gama kiln) from Uji, Kyoto, using Kintsugi.

This accessory is created by upcycling ceramics from "Fukuiku-gama," a kiln located in Uji, Kyoto, known for its Kyo ware and Kiyomizu ware. We reuse cracked, chipped, or no longer used pottery, restoring and redesigning them into unique jewelry using the Kintsugi technique.

The concept of this work is to allow people to feel close to nature and long-standing Japanese traditions, giving new life and possibilities to pieces by transforming them into modern accessories that connect to the future.

This piece features elegant ceramic shards with a subtle flower pattern, paired with bold gold accents. With a total length of 50mm, they sway beautifully as you move, creating a highly sophisticated look.

Kintsugi is applied to the sides of the shards, so the gold shines even when viewed from the side, adding to its elegance.

Please wear them as a highlight for both casual and elegant outfits.

Size: Ceramic shard: 11 x 11 mm / Total length: 50 mm

Fitting: Surgical stainless steel earrings (Fittings cannot be changed)

Weight: Although they are made of ceramic, they are lightweight and comfortable to wear.

As this is a unique, one-of-a-kind accessory, it is perfect for a gift.

Please consider it as a present for your loved ones.

*Since this is a finished one-of-a-kind product, we cannot accept changes to the fittings or requests for resale.

*We will ship the item shown in the photos. However, if it has already been sold on another site, it may be made to order. In that case, please note that there will be individual differences in the color, pattern, and size of the ceramic shards.

*"Kintsugi" is a traditional Japanese repair technique that connects cracked or chipped ceramics using lacquer and gold powder. This work is created using a modern "simplified Kintsugi" technique. Unlike traditional Kintsugi made with raw tree sap (Hon-urushi), the bonding itself uses adhesive.

The Kintsugi parts are made using lacquer (paint manufactured by a specialist, not raw lacquer) and gold powder (brass powder, pearl powder), and UV resin is also used for reinforcement.
